Little Mix cancels Vienna show following truck accident – Latest News

Little Mix have been left broken-hearted just days after starting their LM5 world tour, as they were forced to cancel a show in Vienna last minute today due to a truck accident
Taking to social media, the group, made up of Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall shared their sadness at having to cancel the gig
‘Vienna, we are so sad to say that tonight’s show has had to be cancelled,’ they wrote on the band’s Twitter page this afternoon
‘Unfortunately one of our production trucks was in an accident earlier today which means we haven’t been able to set up our staging and lights
’  The group, who started their tour on 1 September in Liverpool before kicking off the hardcore schedule of dates beginning in Madrid on Monday, confirmed no one was hurt in the crash
But the incident meant they had no stage on which to perform – which sort of gets in the way of a concert…    Their statement continued: ‘Thankfully no one was hurt but it means we aren’t able to put on the show for you
‘We are absolutely broken hearted as we were so excited to see you all. All tickets will be refunded, please contact your point of sale
The girls. x.’    The next scheduled date on the tour will see the band perform over two nights at the Porche Arena in Stuttgart, Germany,  before heading to the Netherlands, Belgium and France as they make a return to the UK
Australia and New Zealand will round out the tour, which wraps in December.  Fans voiced their sadness at the cancellation, while noting they were happy no one was hurt
Many others encouraged the foursome to put on an outdoor concert for the Mixers who had travelled from far and wide to see them play
‘Maybe you should do something for your fans in Vienna, like a lil concert outside the arena, many people have been waiting there for so long and it would make them very happy’  In February the girls were forced to cancel their gig in Aberdeen as part of the tour, scheduled for October
The popstars were all set to take to the stage at The Event Complex Aberdeen (TECA) but due to ‘unforeseen logistical issues,’ called off the show
Taking to Twitter, the venue announced the news, where they released a statement from representatives of the group
This read: ‘Due to unforeseen logistical issues Little Mix have unfortunately had to cancel their Aberdeen show, scheduled for 4th October 2019
‘The band are really disappointed to not be able to make the show.’  A rep further added to Metro
co.uk that the group are ‘looking forward to seeing their Scottish fans at their three Glasgow Hydro shows
’  They added: ‘Refunds are available from point of purchase.’
