Breaking news out of Antioch– a child was killed and three other people injured in a fire at an apartment complex… NewsChannel5’s Blayke Roznowski has been getting updates from fire crews. Blayke?. Also breaking this morning, Police are looking for the man who robbed a Sonic at gunpoint! It happened around 3:30 this morning at the restaurant along Charlotte Avenue. Officers say a man with his face covered demanded money from the register…He took off on foot after grabbing the cash. No one was injured.. Police are checking surveillance video now. Also breaking …two people are fighting for their lives after an overnight crash. Police say the two men were driving down I-65 near the I- 24 spilt when they lost control …and ended up down an embankment. One was taken to Vanderbilt and the other to Skyline…both with life threatening injuries. Also breaking this morning.. Metro police are investigating a shooting that sent one person to the hospital.It happened last night along Lafayette street. Investigators say the victim was shot in the right lower leg. Officers say the victim isn’t cooperating…making it difficult to get a suspect description. Clarksville police are looking for this man…Tony Bristol. He’s accused of shooting two people along Fort Campbell Boulevard yesterday morning. Authorities say one person died on his way to the hospital…and the other suffered non life-threatening injuries. Police say Bristol knew both of the victims… He had left the scene prior to officers arriving. The 30-year- old is considered armed and dangerous.. If you see him…call police. The T-B-I is investigating a deadly officer involved shooting in Hickman County. Investigators say Kyle Lankford sped off when a Dickson Police Officer tried to pull him over in a stolen SUV. Lankford eventually crashed near Buckner Ridge Road in Hickman County. He pulled a knife when the officer tried to arrest him.. That’s when the officer shot and killed him. Two other people were in the SUV… One is in custody.. the other is still on the run. Be careful on the roads this morning.Right now… buses are getting ready to roll out across the Mid State for the first day of school.Metro just one of about a dozen districts kicking off the new school year this morning.News Channel 5’s Dan Kennedy is outside McGavock High School right now. The United Way is doing backpack deliveries at 11 different schols this morning as part of t heir STuff the Bus Days of Action.THey will hand out 10,000 backpacks. The giveaway starts at 7:30.
